The current kindergarten to grade 12 education system excludes much of Indigenous and Aboriginal history. As such, children are remaining uneducated on the past and present issues of ongoing colonialism. This lack of knowledge promotes further ignorance regarding Aboriginal and Indigenous peoples. 

We propose that the education system in place needs to be greatly altered to include both Aboriginal and Indigenous peoples. In doing so, children will learn about the entirety of Canada's past and present. Through this, we hope to educate children on the continuous wrongdoings towards Indigenous and Aboriginal children.
