Dear Friends,

You must have all read a series of news items highlighting the keen support, Shri V K Saxena, Honourable Lt Governor of Delhi has also lent to the need to seek a holistic review of the subsisting policy on the ban of old vehicles in Delhi from the Honourable Supreme Court in various media channels today.

Let's hope the long drawn call for this review gets a just conclusion soon with most governing authorities realizing the undue hardship caused to a large number of old vehicle owners since 2022 and the victims of shoddy implementation of the early drive by the previous political maturity & will too and do get some reasonable compensation. 

Its only for the persistent and gradual build up of or petition that a huge mass joined it, many others initiated parallel drive in smaller groups, the media from the quint to car & bike to the TOI's Times Now Business arm - Mirror Now ran a few months long campaign that brought us the first success in the shape of at least a few responses from the offices of MORTH and the second on August 30, 2025, when the earlier Delhi Transport Minister showed up and announced a temporary halt on forcible impounding of vehicles. Its heartening that all of the related issues are now in active consideration of the present Delhi regime and the SC will soon get approached for a holistic review in this matter affecting lakhs of old car owners in Delhi as well as NCR
