Stop Modi Government from offering Subsidy, Selling Meat & Egg in PDS.

0 have signed. Let’s get to 2,500!

Niti Aayog is working on a policy document to offer government subsidies on eggs, fish, chicken, and meat and also include Non-Veg food in the Public distribution system.

What this means is that animals will be butchered and their meat will be sold at the Fair Price ration shops at a lower price.

This also means that the Indian public that includes millions of Vegetarians will pay for making meat and eggs cheaper via taxes.

This is not just unethical but also stupid for the following reasons:

1. Why should a Vegetarian pay for the killing of an animal and feeding someone meat? This is against the religious believes of Millions of Indians.

2. World Health Organization is evaluating the potential risk of cancer due to meat consumption. Why should we follow western standards of diet, and increase the risk of cancer and obesity?

3. UN Brands Meat The 'World's Most Urgent Problem' when it comes to the environment. Why should the Modi government subsidies for the destruction of our planet?

Indian ethos is Ahimsa, and not reckless killing of innocent animals. From Krishna to Mahavira, from Buddha to Gandhi all have taught compassion.

We have already done blunders by including Eggs (cholesterol Bombs) into our food and should not allow policymaker to play havoc with our tradition, religious sentiments, ethos, environment and the lives of billions of animals that will be slaughtered because of this policy.

We are proud of our Prime Minister who is a Vegetarian, and we hope that Modiji will not allow this to happen.

We will not allow this to happen!

Special Notice:

In my opinion, Niti Ayog is being staffed by incompetent individuals like Prof. Ramesh Chand, who is advocating such unscientific measure in the name of Health. My point is, why should we kill an animal if we can live a healthy life without meat.

My Advice to Mr. Ramesh Chand would be to read:

The EAT-Lancet Commission on Food, Planet, Health

Can we feed a future population of 10 billion people a healthy diet within planetary boundaries?

and to the government would be to get a more capable individual as an advisor.
