2016 Maxima Owners have been mistreated. When we bought our vehicles we were told that Nissan plans to get Apple car play and Android auto. Now that it is a few years later Nissan has made Apple Car play and Android auto available only to 2017 and 2018 models of the Maxima even though this can easily be applied to 2016 models. There are several examples of other companies allowing customers to download the updated and install it via USB or SD card so why isn't Nissan doing this? There are several examples of interchangeable radios between the 2017 and 2016 on online forums. If Nissan can't upgrade the 2016 via a software update we at least deserve to know why. I am sure there are a lot of 2016 Maxima owners that would have waited to buy there Maxima if they knew the 2016 would never get the update that the 2017 was getting.
