We would love to experience the adventure of Sinnoh once more but with the full potential of Nintendo Switch, for the given generation of games. Like it has always been with previous remakes, they looked like the mainline games of their own generation or even noticeably improved. The graphics of the new games feel more like remasters of the original games, something that begs the question of why would someone want to play the exact same game and not replay the originals if they already own them, with the only difference - the console. In which, its potential is not exploited at all. 

In generation 6 of Pokemon games "X and Y", Pokemon made its move towards the 3D era of Pokemon games. Since then, the graphics in each generation were being improved, mainly in the over-world of the games, until the announcement of Diamond and Pearl remakes. 

The expectations of fans for those remakes were getting higher and higher the recent years, as new capabilities of the Switch console were showcased by the developers of the games. People wanted to experience the original games once more, but in a more realistic setting, in graphics of the most recent games of the franchise "Sword and Shield".
