Dear Nike! We want a number 18 Mackenzie Arnold Jersey

Dear Nike! We want a number 18 Mackenzie Arnold Jersey
The issue
Dear Nike,
The participation of numerous young women in embracing soccer has been greatly influenced by observing the Matildas during the 2023 World Cup. Many aspiring athletes akin to Sam Kerr and Mary Fowler have emerged. However, it raises a question as to where the representation for supporters of number 18, Mackenzie Arnold, lies. This absence prevents them from emulating their role model due to the unavailability of the goalie jersey, a product that Nike has yet to produce.
Remarkably, a petition originating in England garnered a substantial 80,000 signatures in support of Mary Earps. Nevertheless, it is my firm belief that our accomplished goalkeeper, Mackenzie Arnold, is deserving of a more pronounced acknowledgment.
An example is my own 7-year-old daughter, who is fervently passionate about the Matildas. Regrettably, she has not had the opportunity to emulate her beloved player through appropriate attire. I am confident that she is not the solitary young girl experiencing this sense of exclusion. It is imperative that we address this oversight.
The Matildas' endeavors have initiated a significant movement. However, if we are unable to ensure the provision of jerseys for every player, the prospect of achieving gender pay parity in sports remains uncertain. The urgency to rectify this matter cannot be overstated. The time to act is now.
As concerned parents and fervent supporters, we are hopeful that a respected and globally renowned brand like Nike will heed this call for equitable representation and extend its support in fostering the growth and equality of female athletes.
