As a group of young female students who have witnessed and experienced spiking first hand we have decided to take a stand.

Over the past two months, almost 200 drink spiking incidents have been reported to the police across the UK - 24 of these being from a needle, yet these statistics are constantly changing. 

Avon and Somerset police have recorded almost 500 drink spiking cases in the past 5 years. Said recorded cases led to 27 arrests, but no successful prosecutions. Leaving almost 500 victims with no justice and spiker's out in society potentially, causing more harm.

Victimising the victim has been a large factor regarding this issue. We as a society can actively prevent our drinks from being spiked with the new 'stop tops' however, we cannot stop ourselves from being injected by a needle unknowingly. Thus, making the ability to have a safe social life significantly more difficult.
