With the council charging for garden waste bin uplifts now i have seen more and more garden waste such as grass cuttings and pruning clippings being dumped in our countryside.I think maybe a lot of people believe they are doing the right thing by disposing of the green waste in this way but in fact it is still fly tipping and can have a negative affect on the environment and our wildlife, bringing lots of pests and diseases into the ecosystem and encouraging non native plant species to grow and become problematic.
If green waste is dumped near river banks the waste can find its way down to the water and again create major problems.
Composting can save you lots of money and it can be great for children to see how green materials break down and the process of this. There is loads of infomation on line how to compost properly.
So please lets all protect our beautiful countryside so that we can all enjoy it. End.
This is just the beginning of what has to come. Please keep sharing and signing to ensure people are not given a excuse for this kind of behaviour and our garden waste recycling is collected as normal.
