The C1 paper today was much harder than the past papers, and specimen papers released by Edexcel. Our year group has therefore been treated unfairly, and the paper was not the kind we would have imagined to receive in consideration to the Edexcel sources available. The questions involved more challenging calculations without a calculator than expected, which lead to a huge time pressure, affecting our performance. The paper was not of the kind to expect 16/17 misguided students to finish in 90 minutes. Past papers and specimen papers failed to indicate this level of time pressure, which is why we have been misguided. We therefore strongly feel that the grade boundaries must be lowered.
