Allow a vote on legislation to legalize and regulate marijuana

The Issue

According to polls, Rhode Island voters support legalizing and regulating marijuana for adults by a 20-point margin. Sensible proposals to end marijuana prohibition have been introduced in the General Assembly in each of the past five years, but legislative leaders have not called for a single vote on them in either the House or the Senate.

Sign our petition urging House Speaker Nicholas Mattiello and Senate President M. Teresa Paiva-Weed to call for a vote on the Marijuana Regulation, Control, and Taxation Act. After five years of discussion and debate, it is time to let legislators decide.
