Parks Niagara to BLOCK THE PATHS ON PURPOSE TO STOP FISHERMEN AND TOURISTS BUT MOSTLY TOURISTS FROM GETTING TO THE SHORE OF THE RIVER BECAUSE SOME TOURISTS HAVE DIED?!
Maybe I'm late to the party. But today as I went down to the Niagara River, at the Gorge, I noticed a lot of cut down trees, that seemed to be blocking the paths that fishermen and hikers have used for years. I thought, maybe Parks Niagara cut some trees down so they don't fall on tourists? But thought I'd call them and ask them to not block the paths, maybe?! But NO. Better yet, I ran into some of the "loggers!" and asked them, and they told me that they have been ordered by Parks Niagara to BLOCK THE PATHS ON PURPOSE TO STOP FISHERMEN AND TOURISTS BUT MOSTLY TOURISTS FROM GETTING TO THE SHORE OF THE RIVER BECAUSE SOME TOURISTS HAVE DIED?! Now, although that is a tragedy of course, why should I have to pay, why should all the fishermen and outdoors enthusiasts have to pay for what could have been stupidity?!? People die on the QEW and the 401 all the time, should we BAN DRIVING ON THEM TOO?! The "loggers" told me that if the police catch me down there I can be fined?! Soon they will be locking the gate at the Glen staircase!! I am so sick of this shit!!! The Health and Safety, the Joint Health and Safety Committees and The Medical Officials, together have taken over the ENTIRE COUNTRY!!! From Covid to banning access to beaches to banning fishing!!! THIS GARBAGE HAS TO STOP. TOO MANY KAREN'S HAVE TAKEN OVER EVERY ASPECT OF OUR SOCIETY AND WE NEED TO TELL THE COUNSELORS, THE CITY MAYORS AND FORD, THAT THIS KAREN FEAR MONGERING AND BABYSITTING HAS TO STOP!!! A child hurts themselves on the playground and they close it down for all. Tourists walking around the Gorge in high heels, and dies and now we all have to be punished?! I TAKE MY WHOLE FAMILY, WITH LITTLE KIDS DOWN THE GORGE AND I EXPLAIN TO THEM FULLY, HOW DANGEROUS IT IS AND TO BE CAREFUL. That's the smart thing to do. But I should not be banned because of others stupidity. This is MY LAND. THIS MY COUNTY. MY ANCESTORS HAVE BEEN FISHING IN THE NIAGARA RIVER AND ALL ACROSS THIS LAND FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS and we will not be stopped because some over reaching legalistic JOY KILLS ARE IN A POSITION TO ENFORCE THEIR STUPID RULES!!!! I AM CREATING A PETITION AND I AM ASKING ALL OF US FISHERMEN AND OUTDOORS ENTHUSIASTS to demand our freedom to explore the wild as we see fit. Make signs. We should enter at our own risk. Fine. But LEAVE US THE HELL ALONE!! 

As a compromise: here's an idea- 

 It's possible that when we renew our license that we'd have to pay a few bucks more maybe, but they could create a job for a Parks person, to be at the top of the Glen at the stairs and educate the tourists on the dangers and fishermen would show their license which would allow them to fish the river... And by getting the "extreme fishing" license, you'd agree that you are fishing at your own risk. Sort of like, a waiver that has to be signed when you go with an Ice fishing outfit. The same could be done in this case. Just an idea. We have to take an online course to get a boating license. Maybe we'd have to end up doing something like that for this instance. Not sure. But I'd like to see a compromise of some kind, not a ban.
