Separate waiting rooms for fertility investigations vs maternity scans
I have experienced years of unexplained fertility struggles. It’s been made even more distressing and time consuming due to the long waiting times in the NHS. My first and second investigations were quite invasive, I was not prepared for them at all. It was made worse by the fact I had to wait in a room with happy couples awaiting their first scan. My second investigation was a tubal flush, it was awful. I felt so violated and I laid there thinking “why me?”. Shortly after I was diagnosed with depression. Infertility is not often spoken about and we are totally forgotten about. I would like to see separate waiting rooms for these women. They deserve a space with different leaflets and posters. They should be supported fully. No one should suffer the way I have.
