Myself and many other healthcare students - 1st, 2nd and 3rd years - have been pulled from our practice placements over the last month (or longer!) and have been forced into distance learning. I am sure I am not alone in saying that distance learning is difficult and has been supported more by some Education providers more than others. On healthcare courses, students spend 37.5 hours per week studying theory or in clinical placements. We are being denied what we pay for. 

This has been set up to support students get a partial refund for their tuition fees for this academic year. In the end we are not being provided with the service and/or education that we are paying such a HUGE amount of money for. We are the future of the National Health Service. Our training has been a victim of enough cuts of late and it’s time to put a stop to it. These circumstances will leave students with up to 6 months lack of education and clinical placement.
