Justice for Giulio Regeni

Le problème

Giulio Regeni was a 28-year-old Italian student from Cambridge, who was researching labour unrest and independent trade unions (a very sensitive topic) in Egypt. He used to write humorous and satirical contributions about it for Italian newspapers. He went missing on 25 January. His body was discovered nine days later on the side of a road, marked with cigarette burns, multiple stab wounds and bruising, result of an "inhuman, animal-like violence". Egypt, today, denies all implications in such happenings, even if it is established that state institutions practice the same kind of torture that Giulio is reported to have suffered against hundreds of Egyptian citizens each year. This shall never happen again. We want transparency and we want the truth. But most of all, we want justice, so that Giulio will never be forgotten.
