Judge Brody, without even hearing the details, dismissed the civil rights case yesterday and asked the SAME parties that decided to include race norming to "work it out"- once again, in secret, and with no input from the players who were injured. Enough silencing of Black voices, enough sweeping racism under the rug in both civil and criminal justice. Our reply via letter (and the NYT article that explains the update) is below, We are now appealing to Congress and the Department of Justice. Please keep sharing this petition. We will want to deliver as many signatures as possible!

Dear Judge Brody-
There was an order issued today, dismissing the civil rights claims by the Class and ordering Mr. Seeger and the NFL to resolve, what you have, in writing, acknowledged is a significant concern. In essence you are giving the fox another chance to guard the hen house. Additionally, the views of Black players (and their wives) have been dismissed, without discovery, as they have for over 400 years as “seemingly without merit.” How can any of us have any faith that the violating parties are not going to, once again, bury this and deny civil rights to our husbands? As we have delivered to you almost 50,000 signatures connected to a petition calling for an immediate end to this practice, we are not confident that anything less is justice.
We are concerned enough that Mr. Seeger will not represent Black players fairly that we are going to ask the Department of Justice as well as Congress to launch an investigation into civil rights violations and possible collusion between the NFL and Seeger Weiss.
We would like this letter to also be placed on the docket.
Very truly yours,
Dr. Amy Lewis. D.Ac., Dipl. Ac.
