Football is a sport of competitiveness, and passion. All of this is taken away by those few guys in the league we as fans refer to as "Dirty Players". I am a 19 year old from Pittsburgh, Pa, and yes you guessed it I am a Steelers fan. After 3 matches against the Cincinnati Bengals, their true colors were shown. Vontaze Burfict single handedly injured 3 NFL superstars. November 1, 2015 Leveon Bell, torn MCL. December 13, 2015 intentional low blow shot to Ben Roethlisberger. January 10, 2016 intentional shoulder to helmet hit on Antonio Brown. On top of the blatant injuries, Burfict has easily accumulated over 10 personal fouls against the Steelers alone. These selfish acts allow me to come to a conclusion that Vonataze Burfict is a Headhunter. His known hate for Pittsburgh is well televised, and adds into the equation. Player safety is more important than any personal hate someone has towards a city or team. A suspension is only temporary satisfaction and a light sentence for such an enormous problem.As a Steelers fan and NFL fan, I am calling for the release of Vontaze Burfict and hope that many others can stand up towards this matter.
