We have a wonderful cupboard/free shop in Hamilton that provides food for locals experiencing homelessness and anyone in need. As a community member I and many others put food in it every week. It goes quickly which clearly shows the need in the community. There is also a local young group, food not bombs, who cook food each week and volunteer to serve it to anyone in need twice a week, no questions asked. Today the police and council turned up to say they will close the cupboard down in two weeks, please sign this petition to let council and police know that the community supports this initiative to help our vulnerable members of our community. I have personally dropped off sleeping bags and jackets that have gone within hours. Please sign this petition to show your support and call for the council to keep this community initiative open
