12 Jun 2017
Nearly 100 people have now submitted comments to Newcastle City Council, objecting to the Cell A and B1 proposals.
But the statutory consultation is officially due to end on 16th June 2017 - this gives us just four days to object to the plans.
The application could potentially go before the planning committee after this date, with only one week's notice, although we have been informed it is unlikely it will come before committee before September.
You can email your objection to adam.nilsson@newcastle.gov.uk, quoting planning application 2017/0666/01/OUT.
You can also register your objection here:

Some points you may wish to include in your objection are:
• Land in Cell A is only allocated for 880 residential units, not 1,200
• Permitting the development in such close proximity to Havannah Nature Reserve and West Brunton Wetland Site of Local Conservation Interest would contravene council policies on green infrastructure and the natural environment, landscaping and trees, protection of wildlife corridors, local nature reserves and recognised sites.
• Permitting the development would contravene Section 11, Paragraph 109 of the National Planning Policy Framework, on conserving and enhancing the natural environment, which states that the planning system should contribute to and enhance the natural and local environment by protecting and enhancing valued landscapes and recognising the wider benefits of ecosystem services
• The application is flawed in terms of the principle and legality of the proposed location of playing fields at B1, and the proposed development of 1,200 dwellings
