Partners overseas, who are visa applicants, (based on their relationship with a NZ visa holder, resident or citizen already in the country), wait indefinitely so far, as no offshore visa applications are currently being processed. Due to the borders being closed, no visas will be issued by INZ; logically, partners can not travel without a visa, it is a dead-end situation. The situation of many families is being affected.

It is please requested to the Government of NZ that, while strictly following quarantine and all the safety procedures for NZ population, kindly allow/review the processing of partner gathering visas (work, visitor, study, resident), in NZ; for those who are already applicants for a visa, and remain overseas, due to the closure of the borders.
