Make it illegal to smoke in cars with children

Join The AM Show in campaigning for a law change - to make it illegal to smoke in cars with children present.

An estimated 100,000 kids are trapped inside a hot box of nicotine every week - that's two rugby stadiums full of children exposed to second hand smoke.

As we know, inhaling second hand smoke can cause a whole host of health problems like respiratory infections, asthma attacks, sudden infant deaths, glue ear and an increased risk of cancer.

The UK, South Africa, most Australian states and parts of the US are well ahead of us on enforcing bans on smoking in cars when children are present.

And in 2014, A Ministry of Health funded survey found that 97% of Kiwis supported a ban.

Join us in calling for our MPs to act... NOW!
