Finally, the safety of our community has been made a priority! I would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who signed our petition and helped gain the approval from Ballina Shire Council to construct the new roundabout at the Byron Bay Road and Byron Street T-intersection. 

~ ROUNDABOUT UPDATE AS OF AUGUST 2024 ~

There is currently orange bollards in place to direct traffic safely through this intersection, and allowing motorist to become familiar with the placement of the new roundabout.

The construction of our permanent roundabout, replacing these bollards has been delayed due to the need of an electrical easement that is now being registered with Essential Energy.

The works are expected to commence this September, and the duration of the project is expected to be approximately eight weeks, with some very minor traffic delays expected.

Information will be communicated to residents and motorists once a start date is confirmed.
