URGENT REQUEST- PLEASE READ AND SHARE ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
We confirmed today that the Zoning Update Committee will meet a month early to accommodate Buffalo Trace's request to change the Rural Residential (RR) and Agricultural ( AG) zoning codes to allow whiskey warehouses. THIS WILL AFFECT ALL (AG) AND (RR) AREAS OF FRANKLIN COUNTY.
The meeting will be held in person at City Hall on Thursday, April 28 at 5:30pm. While there is no formal public hearing because this is a committee meeting, it is a public meeting and the public has the right to listen and participate. We will need a large crowd, because you can be sure that Buffalo Trace will have supporters there this time. Please bring your family and friends. This will be a pivotal meeting for us. If the committee endorses the idea it will be a lot harder for us to stop the text amendment when it goes to the full Commission. Please, plan to attend. We are all depending on each other.
It sure would be nice to show up at the meeting with 1,000 signatures on our petition to submit to the Commissioners. We need to get 213 more signatures in the next two weeks. Do you think we can do it? With your help, I think we can. Please share the link to the petition on all of your social media platforms. Here's the link again: https://www.change.org/SavePeaksMill
We need people to reach out to the members of the planning and zoning committee as soon as possible and let them know that you oppose this text amendment.
