There are not enough words to truly express how amazing Jrue Holiday is as a basketball player. There are even less words to truly emphasize how incredible Jrue Holiday is as a human being.

Jrue Holiday is not from New Orleans, but he 1000% embodies EVERYTHING that makes NOLA, NOLA. Passion, strong work ethic, humility, gratitude, and this list could go on for a while.

There is not a retired Pelicans jersey. I honestly cannot think of a better person/basketball player to be the first Pelicans jersey to be retired. He ushered the city through a sea of changes, impressionable moments, and forgettable moments. Now its OUR, the fans, time to usher him into New Orleans Basketball History. 

A spot he has rightfully EARNED.
