The Issue
WHAT WE’VE LOST:
SPEED
The new platform is slower than the old version and is also unreliable and crashes a lot. It takes longer to search now which is frustrating as "time is money" and having to wait longer for essentially the same service on an "upgrade".
LinkedIn have offered support on troubleshooting customers browsers/OS systems to maximise performance and improve functionality.

TAGGING
Tags and notes have been removed from basic and premium subscriptions but are available in Recruiter and Sales Navigator subscriptions.
RANKINGS
How You Rank tool, you cannot now see where you stack up to others in your network with profile views. You cannot look at the top profiles in your network to gain inspiration for changes you can make to your own profile, or content you can share to increase views to your profile and drive opportunities for advancement. You also cannot take a look at the suggestions LinkedIn offers on the right-hand side of the page for ways you can begin increasing views to your profile immediately.
So LinkedIn have taken away one of the most popular features and have no plan to restore this service. In 2014 LinkedIn introduced this feature in part to get users to be more active, a rep responded by saying it was about providing "inspiration" for users to "increase their presence" on the social network. We've lost the education button, but you can find education both in Learning.
ADDING CONNECTIONS
Many customers are now requiring an additional email address for an invitation to connect.
ADVANCED SEARCH
Postal code radius search have been removed from basic and premium subscriptions but are available in Recruiter Lite and Sales Navigator subscriptions.
You can still sort by relationship, location, industry and company.
We need LinkedIn to bring back the services it offered, so we can continue to see it improve and develop a better experience for the user.

I have been communicating with LinkedIn Product & Escalation team at length regarding the recent changes to the desktop version of LinkedIn, which had significantly reduced the features available free and subscription users.
Recruiter Magazine (The UK Recruitment Profession’s premier publication) picked up the story Read me and shared the views of many disgruntled customers.

Recruiters have been paying for LinkedIn for years now. What the new types of subscriptions highlight though, is the introduction of the Premium Career subscription aimed at candidates. This will be interesting to watch. Will candidates get used to the idea of paying for LinkedIn, or will they leave the platform in favour of other routes? Read me
