Fires in Barangay Pinagbuhatan has become more and more recent, and the Barangay's response has not gotten any better.

One example of this is the recent residential fire on September 6, 2025. The fire started at  2:22 am and quickly spread to the two house beside it. Inside the PUPHA Compound, a 4 year-old child was trapped on the second floor of their house. The child's mother jumped out of their window but was not able to save her child and resulted into him dying. 

This example is one of many other more. This petition will link many more fire incidents in Pinagbuhatan to further strengthen this appeal and reach more hearts in the nation to help the community.

• WHY IS THIS CAUSE IMPORTANT?

The goal of this petition is important because it’s about protecting lives, homes, and the sense of security of everyone in Barangay Pinagbuhatan. Fires can destroy everything a family has worked hard for, their home, belongings, and memories. Yet fires bring more than destruction to properties and objects, this may also put someone's life on the line. Implementing fire protection is one way in which we can avert tragedy, improve emergency response systems, and teach the community fire prevention. This is not only about preventing property loss but also about saving lives and securing the stability of our community. When we say “Never Again,” we mean that we will ensure that no family will ever have to bear the unimaginable pain of losing their home or loved ones in a preventable fire. By strengthening fire safety now, we are thereby building a safer and more resilient community for all.

• WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM THIS PETITION?

1.) Residents of Barangay Pinagbuhatan, who will be safer from fire-related accidents and losses. 

2.) Local businesses, schools, and community spaces that will be better protected from fire hazards.

3.) Barangay officials and responders, since improved fire safety measures will make their work more effective and less risky.

• HOW WILL WE ADDRESS THIS ISSUE?

We will address this issue through a petition with concise and detailed information, that will show firm evidence why this petition is relevant . In addition to that, we will recommend to raise the awareness and attentiveness to the people, develop materials that reduce or prevent combustion in electronics, and to provide faster aid to lessen the damage. 
 

• WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE CHANGES THAT WILL OCCUR IF THE PEOPLE SUPPORTS AND SIGNS THIS PETITION?

We expect that the Barangay of Pinagbuhatan, with the coordination of the Pasig City Government, will take more stronger preventative measures to ensure that incidents like this will not happen again in the future. By improving their preparedness, updating their equipment, and enhancing coordination they can respond more quickly and extinguish fires more efficiently resulting in minimized damage and safeguarding the lives and properties of the community.
