UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS FUND AMID COVID-19 EMERGENCY – ENSURING ALL WORKING NEVADIANS ARE RECEIVING ASSITANCE DURING EMERGENCY CRISSIS LIKE CORONAVIRUS

We are constrained to present this petition on behalf of the immigrant community in the state of Nevada.  We are aware that other states and local governments have united to assist their working undocumented community who do not qualify for the federal stimulus amid the COVID–19 pandemic. 

We would like to request local assistance for this kind of individuals that on a daily basis contribute to our economy and have helped maintain a strong state.  This people are hardworking individuals that pay taxes with daily local purchases and income tax through ITIN. The undocumented community has contributed their share of taxes just as much as citizens. There is a portion of the immigrant community not get anything tax return because the lack of a SSN, many of them have lost their jobs during the state of emergency that the whole world is facing and some may still continue to work a few hours a week exposing themselves to get sick just to bring some food to the table.

In this kind of situation it is of our own good interest that this people don’t parish and provide them with some kind of relieve so when we get out of this emergency we come back strong as always, this people are accentual to our community and our state economy.
