Waltham Forest Council have been in touch to report that the steps and walkway have been repaired. We expect the bridge to re-open imminently. Thank you to those who have had to lengthen their journeys as a result of the temporary closure. Network Rail have given an interim report that they have made temporary repairs to the mesh holes and rusted handrail. They intend to start on the rusted panel 'by the end of March'. 

This has all happened because an amazing 1,074 people have signed the petition! Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared around on social media. KEEP SIGNING as our main aim is to make this bridge ACCESSIBLE TO ALL. Slopes are needed in addition to the 30 steps on each side of the bridge.
