Netflix, please buy the rights to Storm Hawks

The Issue

Storm Hawks is an American/Canadian animated television series produced by Nerd Corps Entertainment. It premiered on Cartoon Network on May 25th, 2007; it had a two season run ending on April 6th, 2009. The series ended on a cliffhanger, leading fans to demand a third season.

Storm Hawks still has lots of potential to be something bigger than it was; one of the largest critiques with it was the entire backstory was glossed over by the networks it was on. Storm Hawks was still a good show nonetheless, it had rich humour for all ages and diversity within its characters. it's definitely a television show that was ahead of its time and it didn't get the recognition it deserved. The creators of Storm Hawks expressed great interest in a third season, despite only having 52 episodes planned in which were aired. However, because views were down in the United States, a third season didn't get the green light.

Nerd Corps Entertainment was acquired by WildBrain Studios (then DHX Media) in 2014, eventually merging with them in 2016. This makes a continuation much more difficult; WildBrain Studios is focused on very kid-friendly content making it likely the reason Storm Hawks have not been touched by them. It's not likely that they will revive Storm Hawks unless they are willing to pass on their property.

Worldwide, Netflix has 167 million subscribers; streaming television shows and movies have never easier. That being said, its easy for users to access their new favorite show at their fingertips or a click of a button. Storm Hawks has a small fanbase date, however if it were accessed on a platform such as Netflix, it could definitely get the support needed for a continuation or a reboot to make it into something it was meant to be.

Please revive this unique show and at least give it the attention it deserves!
