They were “A Blast of Fun” according to their advertising and to the childhoods of many 2000s kids including myself, but when the world needed them most, they vanished. I am here to start a movement to help solve the problems that have come along since the discontinuation of Aquapod Natural Spring Water.

Aquapod was introduced in June of 2006 by Nestlé Waters North America to get children to drink water as opposed to the sugary beverages to which they had become accustomed. The product contained eleven ounces of Deer Park, Ice Mountain, Ozarka, Poland Spring, Zephyrhills or Arrowhead water in an orb-shaped “pod” bottle.

Unsurprisingly, this move worked and Aquapod ended up selling very well. Kids loved the shape, feel, size and portability of the bottle, and parents loved seeing their kids drinking water and having fun doing it. Many kids loved it so much that they even went out of their way to record videos of themselves and their friends having fun with Aquapod and post them on the Internet.

And then, Nestlé made the unholy decision to discontinue the product. It is unknown when or why this was done, but the world has not been the same since the decision was made. We went back to all that no-good-for-us stuff, childhood obesity increased by 57.64% and the products that are available to us now have those bumpy, unsightly ridges. If you ask me, ridges are a distraction to the water-drinking experience.

We do not have to live this way any longer. Together, using the power of the Internet, we can breathe new life into these simple yet majestic bottles of water. We can give to our children the same message that our parents had given to us. We can introduce Aquapod to the future generations. We Can Make Water Great Again.
