To the day exacty three weeks ago, a few boats and ships started together from Barcelona in the direction of the Gaza strip. These boats and ships and those which will join them on the way to the Gaza strip call themselves Global Sumud Flotilla. ("Sumud" is Arabic and means "steadfastness", "will to resist".) The free-time seafarers have set for themselves a non-despicable goal: They want to break the traffic blockade of the Gaza strip imposed by the Israeli army. The most prominent person among the seafarers is the Swedish Fridays for Future environmental activist Greta Thunberg.

Now, the platform World Beyond War is offering to all a practical possibility to turn to the governments of the European Union's member countries and to the members of the U.S. Congress and of the U.S. Senate in order to summon them to take measures to protect the Global Sumud Flotilla from potential attacks. In fact, the Global Sumud Flotilla already suffered attacks while it lay anchored at the Tunesian coast..

Basically, it is scandalous that the governments of the E.U. countries, and also the E.U. Parliament and the E.U. Commission, haven't thought of it by themselves. They have had enough time for it, haven't they? It is strongly smelling of corruption .

Not only many politicians seem to have been corrupted and/ or manipulated by supporters of genocide but also many news media. In this context, there is a petition of a certain Maryam Pyc: Petition: Adherence to international law and protection of the peaceful Global Sumud Flotilla mission. The petition is directed to, among others, the German Bundestag and the European Union, thus above all EU Parliament, EU Council and EU Commission.

Please support both actions! As soon as possible! It's very urgent.

A remark on Greta Thunberg: Already shortly after 7th October 2023, she protested against the Israeli military actions as vehemently as against global climate warming at the U.N. general assembly some years ago. In the past months, it has come to light that the assaults of 7th October 2023 committed by Hamas members had probably been welcomed by the Israeli government and that the news that Hamas members had cut off the heads of fourty babies had only been an evil, false rumour. Greta Thunberg while protesting against the Israeli government and the Israeli military was putting her good reputation at stake. The best-known German Fridays for Future environmental activist Luisa Neubauer took a opposite stand. In retrospective, we have to acknowledge, if we are up-to-date, that Greta Thunberg has been right throughout the time  - to an uncanny degree.

Vor auf den Tag genau drei Wochen sind ein paar Boote und Schiffe von Barcelona aus zusammen in Richtung Gaza-Streifen aufgebrochen. Diese Boote und Schiffe und die, die sich ihr auf dem Weg zum Gaza-Streifen anschließen, nennen sich Global Sumud Flotilla. ("Sumud" ist arabisch und bedeutet "Standhaftigkeit", "Widerstandswille".) Die Freizeit-Seefahrerinnen und -Seefahrer haben sich kein zu verachtendes Ziel gesetzt: Sie wollen die von der israelischen Armee auferlegte Verkehrs-Blockade des Gaza-Streifens brechen. Prominenteste Person unter der Seefahrern ist die schwedische Fridays-for-Future-Umweltaktivistin Greta Thunberg.

Die Plattform World Beyond War bietet nun allen eine praktische Möglichkeit, sich an die Regierungen der Mitgliedsländer der Europäischen Union und an Mitglieder des US-Repräsentantenhauses und des US-Senats zu wenden, um sie dazu aufzufordern, Maßnahmen zu ergreifen, um die Global Sumud Flotilla vor potentiellen Angriffen zu schützen. Die Global Sumud Flotilla wurde bereits angegriffen, als sie vor der tunesischen Küste vor Anker lag.

Eigentlich ist es skandalös, dass die Regierungen der EU-Länder, und auch EU-Parlament und EU-Kommission, nicht selbst auf die Idee gekommen sind. Zeit genug hatten sie ja. Das riecht arg nach Korruption.

Nicht nur viele Politiker/ -innen scheinen von Völkermord-Unterstützer/ -innen korrumpiert und/ oder manipuliert worden zu sein, sondern auch viele Nachrichtenmedien. In diesem Zusammenhang gibt es eine Petition von einer gewissen Maryam Pyc: Petition: Einhaltung des Völkerrechts und Schutz der zivilen Mission Global Sumud Flotilla. Die Petition ist unter anderem an den Deutschen Bundestag und die Europäische Union, also vor allem an EU-Parlament, EU-Rat und EU-Kommission, gerichtet.

Noch eine Bemerkung zu Greta Thunberg: Schon kurz nach dem 7. Oktober 2023 hat sie so vehement gegen die israelischen Militäraktionen im Gazastreifen protestiert wie einige Jahren zuvor in einer UNO-Vollversammlung gegen die globale Klimaerwärmung. In den vergangenen Monaten ist bekanntgeworden, dass die von Hamas-Mitgliedern begangenen Überfälle vom 7. Oktober 2023 wahrscheinlich von der israelischen Regierung gewollt gewesen waren und dass die Nachricht, Hamas-Mitglieder hätten am 7. Oktober 2023 vierzig Babys die Köpfe abgeschnitten, nur ein böses, falsches Gerücht gewesen war. Greta Thunberg hat mit ihrem Protest gegen die israelische Regierung und das israelische Militär ihren guten Ruf aufs Spiel gesetzt. Die bekannteste deutsche Fridays-for-Future-Umweltaktivistin Luisa Neubauer stellte sich gegen sie. Im Nachhinein muss man anerkennen, wenn man auf dem laufenden ist, dass Greta Thunberg die ganze Zeit über richtig lag - in einem Maß, das nicht ganz geheuer ist.
