Waterbury officials care more about a statue of a rapist than the wrongfully convicted people that were beat, coerced, and suffering inhumane treatment in their level 4 facilities. Waterbury have racist officers, lazy detectives, and misconduct running rampant. The police, the state attorney, and judges need to be held accountable for the 80-90% of pleas deals accepted because suspects and victims alike were harassed, threatened, and overcharged in the name of winning. The prisons are punitive and forgotten chess pools in the name of justice but what happened to their purpose of rehabilitation and reducing recidivism?
