Neath Port Talbot Council want to build on the playing fields of Pontardawe. With climate change and obesity problems, we think that this is the wrong place to build on when we should be cherishing such outdoor spaces.  

Ynysderw fields were left to the people of Pontardawe for recreational purposes. The fields are very well used. Football teams struggle to find a pitch on Saturdays as they are so busy. Similar in the week with training days. Kids play all over the fields.

The fields are protected by Fields in trust, so they cannot be built on. However Neath Port Talbot Council are telling Fields in Trust that the fields are not used. This is not true.

We want to save all of Ynysderw playing fields and ensure there are green spaces for future generations.

Once it has gone, it will never return. Kids will have nowhere to play football/rugby/cricket etc...

Please help us stop these fields being built on.
