Removal of bollards on Herbert street in Pontardawe

Removal of bollards on Herbert street in Pontardawe

The Issue

People who love Pontardawe. It's only recent years we have been able to say how Pontardawe is a thriving town again. Local small shops are growing and more people are starting to hear about what a beautiful little village it is.

Do we want our village to die?No. Do we want to loose small independent shops? No. Do we want small businesses to struggle even more? No. Do we care about disabled peoples rights? Yes. Do we care about our own human rights? Yes. Do we want to make decisions for ourselves and not have council workers decide on whats best for us when they have no clue? Yes.

I believe WE the people of Pontardawe know our town better than anyone. We care about our town and the people that live, work and visit it.

I believe having monstrous cement blocks going up our main shopping street will kill traders and stop people from even trying to shop here.

I believe people with disabilities shouldnt be told to 'just walk from the car parks'

The last point I want to make is that Pontardawe isnt huge. Our streets arent as busy as other villages. I live on Herbert street and most of the time there are no queues.

And even if there were, there are much better ideas than taking away parking on the main street. There is no need for it.

We've already had an elderly man fall becuase he had to walk further than usual.

This is only the start.

So please, if you love Pontardawe, please sign this petition for the bollards to get permanently removed.

Love to all. Let's beat this!!!
