PÉTITION POUR DÉNONCER LA PRÉSENCE DES FDLR AU BURUNDI

 

Nous, Burundais et Burundaises, Nous, panafricains, Nous,membres de la diaspora Burundaise, Nous, membres du Mouvement Panafricain KOMAZAMAHORO:

“dénonçons publiquement et fermement la présence des INTERAHAMWE-FDLR sur le territoire du Burundi.”

Les FDLR (Forces Démocratiques de Libération du Rwanda), organisation reconnue internationalement comme une force armée responsable de crimes de génocide contre les Tutsi au Rwanda et des crimes graves dans la République Démocratique du Congo, continuent aujourd’hui leurs opérations au Burundi et dans la région des Grands Lacs.

Nous dénonçons également le fait que ces forces changent aujourd’hui de nom et se présentent sous l’appellation FCLR (Front Commun pour la Libération Rwandais), dans le but de dissimuler leur identité et leurs activités au Burundi et dans la région des Grands Lacs.

Nous déclarons que la présence de ces forces constitue :

• Une menace pour la sécurité du Burundi,
• Une menace pour la paix dans la région des Grands Lacs,
• Une menace pour la stabilité socio-économique et sécuritaire dans la région. 
  
  

 

Nous dénonçons aussi toute collaboration, directe ou indirecte, entre ces forces et les structures du pouvoir au Burundi, notamment le régime du CNDD-FDD, qui permettrait à ces groupes d’avoir des cartes d’identités et passports Burundais afin de continuer leurs activités militaires et politiques.

 

Nous affirmons que le Burundi ne doit pas devenir un refuge pour des forces responsables de génocide, de crimes et d’instabilité dans la région.

 

NOS REVENDICATIONS

Par cette pétition, nous demandons :

• Le départ immédiat des FDLR / FCLR du territoire burundais.
• La destruction des passports et les cartes d’identité octroyés à ces FDLR/FCLR
• La fin de toute collaboration entre ces groupes armés et les autorités politiques ou militaires du Burundi.
• Une enquête internationale indépendante sur la présence et les activités des FDLR / FCLR au Burundi.
• La protection du peuple burundais contre toute militarisation de la milice IMBONERAKURE sur le territoire Burundais par ces forces FDLR-FCLR.
• La mobilisation de la communauté internationale, de l’Union Africaine et des organisations régionales pour mettre fin à la présence de ces groupes armés dans la région.

la diaspora Burundaise,
les Panafricains,
les défenseurs des droits humains,
les organisations internationales ou toutes autre personnes interréssée à se mobiliser et à soutenir cette pétition pour dénoncer la présence des FDLR / FCLR au Burundi et défendre la paix dans la région des Grands Lacs.

 

Cette pétition accompagne une marche pacifique et  mondiale visant à alerter l’opinion publique internationale sur cette situation.

PETITION TO DENOUNCE THE PRESENCE OF THE FDLR IN BURUNDI

We, Burundians, We, Pan-Africanists, We, members of the Burundian diaspora, We, members of the KOMAZAMAHORO Pan-African Movement:

“publicly and firmly denounce the presence of the FDLR on the territory of Burundi.”

The FDLR (Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda), an organization internationally recognized as an armed force responsible for genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda and serious crimes in the Democratic Republic of Congo, continues its operations today in Burundi and the Great Lakes region.

We also denounce the fact that these forces are now changing their name to FCLR, in order to conceal their identity and activities in Burundi and the Great Lakes region.

We declare that the presence of these forces constitutes:

A threat to the security of Burundi,

A threat to peace in the Great Lakes region,

A threat to socio-economic and security stability in the region.

We also denounce any collaboration, direct or indirect, between these forces and the power structures in Burundi, particularly the CNDD-FDD regime, which would allow these groups to obtain Burundian identity cards and passports in order to continue their military and political activities.

We affirm that Burundi must not become a haven for forces responsible for genocide, crimes, and instability in the region.

OUR DEMANDS

Through this petition, we demand:

• The immediate withdrawal of the FDLR/FCLR from Burundian territory.
• The destruction of passports and identity cards issued to these FDLR/FCLR members.
• An end to all collaboration between these armed groups and the political or military authorities of Burundi.
• An independent international investigation into the presence and activities of the FDLR/FCLR in Burundi.
• The protection of the Burundian people against any militarization of the territory by foreign forces or armed groups.
• The mobilization of the international community, the African Union, and regional organizations to end the presence of these armed groups in the region.

 

CALL TO MOBILIZATION:

We call upon:

Burundians,
the Burundian diaspora,
Pan-Africans,
human rights defenders,
international organizations, and all other interested parties are invited to mobilize and support this petition to denounce the presence of the FDLR/FCLR in Burundi and to defend peace in the Great Lakes region.

This petition accompanies a peaceful, global march aimed at raising international awareness of this situation.
