Petition for Leniency for Jill Taylor

The Issue

Jill Taylor was involved in a fatal traffic accident in February of 2018. Since that time she has served 18 months in jail and another 18 months in a residential treatment facility for substance abuse.

We just want to ask that you truly "see" Jill as a person, not just another case file or criminal. Jill is a mother of 3 precious children.  She is a loved daughter, granddaughter and sister.  She is a true friend.  She is a devoted Christian and child of God.

Jill has fought to rebuild her life on solid ground to provide stability, hope and love to her children. She just celebrated her 3 year sobriety anniversary and is a dedicated mentor for the women she resides with.  She follows the rules, strives to be a good example and never gives up.

Jill is good, kind and sincere. We ask that you hear from this community about the desire to give Jill a second chance. We do not believe that there is anything beneficial to be gained from having her serve a prison sentence.  There is nothing good to come from separating her children from their mother a second time.

Jill is not perfect, but she is willing and that willingness makes all the difference. We ask for leniency as you consider her case. Thank you.
