UPDATE-- HOLLYWOOD AGAINST BULLYING? Reading through the comments of my recent update some think this may be an attempt to stifle free speech. That is not the case at all. It is to defend a child from ridicule because of who he is. No child should have to suffer from bullying by anyone. My recent update was to show the hypocrisy that comes out of Hollywood. These actors in the video said if you see someone being bullied say something. This petition does just that. Thousands of people saw her tweet and are saying something by signing the petition. Hollywood Against Bullying? Comedians entertain their audience with jokes and satirical sketches, intended to make people laugh. For years’ comedians have used their profession as an excuse for horrific and offensive comments. They issue an apology and life goes on. Gilbert Gottfried a few weeks after 9/11 told an audience “I have to leave early tonight; I have a flight to California. I can’t get a direct flight — they said I have to stop at the Empire State Building first.” Jimmy Carr on Reeva Steenkamp’s death “Here it comes … I blame her. If she hadn’t been in that disabled toilet, none of this would have happened.” Adam Rozenbachs tweets out, “Plane carrying Brazilian soccer team crashes in Colombia, survivors heard screaming, ‘Penalty, Penalty!'” We can be entertained by comedians without taboo subjects such as September 11th, The Holocaust, rape, child molestation, suicide, school shootings, you see where I am going with this. I can’t find humor in any of these subjects. Other comedians and entertainers have come to Mrs. Rich’s defense saying her joke was simply that, a joke. Why are all the actors in this video silent? Is it only wrong when it is not someone in your own industry doing the bullying?
