Currently, expecting fathers who are not married to the mother are able to file a 'putative fathers registry' in about half of US states.  This creates a bit of a problem if the mother to be is in an unknown location.

This petition is to get the federal government to organize a central database for putative fathers, and to have an online registration which will enter their claim as the father so that each state can check this centrallized database.
