Every year, hundreds of thousands of sea turtles are dying from ocean pollution, ingestion and/or entanglement in marine debris. According to the World Wildlife Foundation and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, all sea turtles are classified as endangered.

Did you know there are 5 major ocean gyres and in the Pacific Ocean, the North Pacific Gyre has approximately 3.5 million tons of trash which could double within the next 5 years! Since plastic waste, such as plastic bags, do not biodegrade sea turtles are mistaking it as a food source like jellyfish. What turtles do not know is when it is ingested, it blocks their digestive system which causes them to die.

I have created this petition to help bring awareness of the effects humans are causing and what we can do to stop it.
