The number 1 bus service, run by National Express, cannot currently cope with the number of students that use this service to go to the 4 secondary schools off Tettenhall Road. Buses are full and do not stop to collect crowds of waiting passengers. When a bus stops, the pupil push each other to get on board causing a health and safety risk. Pupils become delayed in getting to school. National Express has an obligation to meet the needs of its customers who have bought buss passes as well as a moral obligation to the children who wait for the buses to ensure their safety. Head teachers of the schools have requested a better service but these requests have so far not been met.
