Please sign this petition to show a community support for North Curtin Paddocks in Canberra.

These paddocks are iconic and create a true bush capital. They home thousands of native flora and fauna, a haven and green belt in the middle of our nation’s capital.

Embassies in Canberra currently by the Lake (unnamed by the NCA), want the Curtin Horsepaddocks to build their new embassies on.

The National Capital Authority have said they will provide them with land to expand under the Vienna Convention, however they aren’t compromising on the location, with their sights set on the Curtin Horsepaddocks.

The beautiful land will be rezoned, bulldozed and redeveloped unless the community make it clear that Embassies should be built elsewhere.

Another option for the Embassies’ expansion is in Deakin, currently with heavy metal issues in the soil which should instead be remedied.

Residents and horseriders say “NO” to the  development at Curtin Horsepaddocks.

It is a travesty for our beautiful bush capital which MUST be preserved for future generations. We seek for them to be protected.

What other capital city in the world has such beautiful land and equestrian facilities, bushland, native wildlife and open spaces at the foot of Parliament House?
