As many of you know Jeff Sessions "a known racist" has been appointed as head over the Department of Justice by Donald Trump! The appointment which is being fought against, has the attention and interest of all concerned with police brutality and murder. For it is the Department of Justice which many families appeal to when no charges or arrest are made for the officer who has murdered an innocent victim. If Jeff Sessions succeeds in becoming the "head" of the DOJ the appeals made by these families will be going directly his office - and so will our demand for nation wide action! The demand from the beginning has been addressed to the current "head" of the DOJ, for remedy and action which would benefit us all. The name the petition and to whom it is directed, to shall remain "such as it is" until an appointment and confirmation has been given, for the new occupier of office. Confirmations hearing are now in progress and these hearings are not new to the appointee, Jeff Sessions. His PRIOR appointment as a judge was swiftly rejected by officials in Washington in light of the objections held by this "appointee" concerning progressive movement forward, in regards to racism. As we await the outcome of these hearings, I encourage each you to work "harder than ever" in pushing the demand forward. The "voice of the people" is needed now more than ever.
