Kayne had his first radiation treatment today. All went well with no issues. This treatment will continue Monday through Friday. He will be able to come home after his treatment on Friday and we will take him back for treatment on Sunday night or Monday, depending on his treatment time. One of us can stay with Kayne at the Hope Lodge at night. The plan is to rotate who stays with him at night so we get to spend quality time with Kayne. There was a mixup with the original plan for the family to stay at the Ronald McDonald house. We actually had two reservations for Kayne. Our Social worker set up one appointment and the case worker set up the other. Kayne decided to stay at the Hope Lodge since it is more restrictive and more quiet than the other. That means we will drive back and forth more if we are not the one staying all night with Kayne. Although, we all would like to stay overnight, I can see how it helps keep the noise level down by limiting it to one person. As always, we encourage everyone to check out Kayne's Facebook page #cannonballsforkayne He has an interview on there, so check it out. Prayers for us and prayers for many others hurting and in need at this time. It only took listening to the news for 5 minutes to hear how many needs there are for our prayers. Let us pray for all.
