Thank you for the 2 lakh plus signatures! It's heartening to see that so many of you feel the pain of Doctors and Healthcare workers. The attacks just don't seem to abate.You would have read about the attacks on the medical team in Moradabad, the attack on a Meerut Doctor by his neighbor and the attack on the ambulance carrying the body of a doctor in Chennai.

This kind of atmosphere is very distressing for people working in a high risk job. Perpetual fear for one's own safety. From disease. Or assault. And worse, not even getting a proper cremation.

The government has taken strict action in UP but in other places people got out on bail.The Indian Medical Association has called for a black day on Thursday 23rd April condemning attacks on health care workers and asking the government to make a #CentralProtectionAct for Doctors and medical fraternity.

Please continue to raise your voice in support of Doctors and health care workers. In times of crisis if we keep quiet our silence supports the perpetrators of crime. Please light a candle tomorrow -Wednesday 22nd April at 9pm in memory of all the health care workers and covid warriors who have lost their lives in the line of duty. And pray the attacks will end.
