Yettinahole project is a gigantic project costing over Rs 13,000 crores being implemented by felling trees in vast tracts of forest land and by disturbing the eco-sensitive Western Ghats. The project will affect the River Netravathi, the life line of the people of Dakshina Kannada. Nothing much is happening as in case of the first two instances quoted here. The state govt is determined to implement the controversial Yettinahole Project by turning a deaf ear to the pleas of people of Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka. It is a do or die situation for people of Dakshina Kannada and we hope the people in the district would succeed in its mission to persuade the government to abandon this unfeasible project which may lead no one nowhere.  We would request the PM to interfere and help people of Dakshina Kannada.
