It is time for Kansas City to recognize a hometown hero…and the historic presidency of Harry S. Truman.  President Truman’s life and legacy are intertwined with the spectacular history of Kansas City.  His accomplishments while in office surpassed most Presidents including desegregating the armed forces, recognizing the State of Israel, and helping to rebuild Europe after World War II.  

President Truman rose thru the ranks of the rough & tumble politics of Kansas City, but never forgot his friends and family in his hometown.

Let us honor this man with a lasting and important designation;  the front door to Kansas City…Harry S. Truman International Airport.
