Ryleigh Dewey, age 11, was an autism warrior who battled severe seizures her entire life. She was courageous and sweet with a smile that lit up a room. Ryleigh was an active member of the community in Artesia, NM and a familiar face to many. 

Ryleigh attended the very first meeting regarding an inclusive park designed for both regular needs and special needs children in her hometown of Artesia with her mother, Jenni Dewey. She participated in the meeting about the park and represented the challenges that many kids in the community living with disabilities face.

To honor Ryleigh’s community participation, it would be a fitting tribute to name the future park after her. The intention of this petition is to demonstrate support for the name of this park to the local government of Artesia, NM.
