The Emperor's Bridge Campaign returns with its fifth annual celebration of the Emperor's historical birthday — a tradition we inaugurated with a party for the Emp's 197th, in 2015.

On 3 February 2015 — alas, our event space already was booked on the 4th! — The Emperor's Bridge Campaign held its first birthday party for Emperor Norton. At this event, we presented our original research establishing 4 February 1818 as the most likely birth date for Joshua Abraham Norton, the future Emperor.
Previous biographers had offered 1818 as the year of Emperor Norton's birth. But, none had made the case for a specific date. Nor had they explained why the birth year — 1819 — inscribed on the Emperor's gravestone is mistaken.
