Implement NGT order to ban production and sale of nylon manja across India

Every year Nylon Manja is used for kite flying in India. Nylon Manja is nylon or synthetic thread which is often coated with powdered or finely crushed glass, metal, or other materials and chemicals to make it sharp and popularly known as ‘Chinese manja’. The National Green Tribunal has banned the sale of nylon and synthetic manja via an order in July 2017. But it is illegally black marketed all over the country.

Every year many people die in road accidents in injuries due to Nylon Manja. Last year in Nagpur Growill foundation volunteers rescued 15 birds who were injured due to Nylon Manja and got them admitted at Transit Treatment Centre at Seminary Hills. Volunteers also collected 6kg Nylon Manja from Nagpur roads and urban jungles after Sankranti.
Protect the birds from getting killed for fun.

Ask the Government to implement the National Green Tribunal’s order to completely ban the production and sale of nylon manja across India.
