I don’t understand why this premier does not seem to want to acknowledge the heartache felt by parents like me. My son made a mistake in taking a drug. It wasn't what he thought it was, and it killed him.
Mr Andrews was happy to push for assisted dying legislation in Victoria due to his personal experience of his father’s death. He should feel the same empathy for the families of people who die due to overdose or poisoning by drugs.
Or is that the stigma of a drug overdose overdose so great that Mr Andrews thinks that we, as parents, family and friends, do not deserve the same kind of empathy and understanding?
Pill testing is a method tried and tested around the world. All we are asking is for the Premier to allow a trial of pill testing services in Victoria.
Today is a really important day to contact Daniel Andrews' office and tell the Premier to have more compassion. He should drop his opposition to a pill testing trial. Let's get this done:
