The statistics speak for themselves: most Australians support pill testing! Today a poll came out in the Guardian that found most Australians support pill testing, and opposition is actually tiny. 'An Essential poll of 1,006 people in September 2016 found 57% supported the rollout of pill-testing services, while only 13% opposed. Support was highest among those aged 55 and over. It was also strong among voters for both major parties: 58% of Coalition voters and 61% of Labor voters said they would support pill testing, compared with 71% of Greens voters and 54% of those who voted for another party.' It shows that the governments who have been elected to represent the people are out of touch with the people who elected them. Pill testing is a logical and sensible policy that most people support. What I've found is that people I talk to about it, even if they don't support pill testing at the start, pretty quickly come to understand and agree with it. Can you make the effort to share the petition and also talk about pill testing with your friends? They are much more likely to be on side than you might think, and even if they aren't you can probably help them see the logic in it. People will listen, you just need to break it down and demystify it for them. Then ask them to sign this petition too! Thanks for all your help, Adriana
